I think this The Onion article pretty much sums it up for us all: ugh, this week. We are all ready for it to be Friday for a break from daily life and some healing time, right? Maybe with less rain and more sunshine, please Chicago?
I actually picked up my nibs and ink after a 6-month hiatus from calligraphy to write out the above quote on Wednesday night, which proved disastrous. Much too ambitious for a rookie like me. So here it is in my trusty pencil. Practicing my calligraphy sounds like the perfect rainy day weekend activity to me.

I have always wanted to be able to do gorgeous calligraphy Unfortunately my handwriting on it's own is disastrous and it's just not a skill I'm going to acquire Here's too a better weekend than this week was and remembering there are still great people in the midst of all the bad.
