grateful: week 30

inspired by my reading of the happiness project by gretchen rubin, i am instituting monday "gratitude" posts (read here for more detail), where i will list "3 things i'm grateful for" from the previous week.

the 3 things i'm grateful for this week are:

1) i mostly completed my gift list for this christmas.  next step: actually buying them...

2) i was home in pure michigan for the weekend!  i know it's only 2 weeks until i'll be there again for thanksgiving, but i was missing the fam just a little too much.

3) while i was home, i spotted little women (the 1994 version) on my parents' wall unit.  seeing as how it's my favorite book, i've watched it more than a few times, but i hadn't in awhile, so i popped it in and i'm so glad i did.  just read the quote from it below.  and although it's far from a christmas movie, it's definitely a great little kick-off to the holiday season.

this week's blog love:
  • since i love all things audrey, casee marie's style profile on ms. hepburn on the girl who stole the eiffel tower just had to make this list!
  • the quote above comes from melissa of design delight's "this week" round-up post.
  • melissa's of the inspired room "10 ways to get inspired for christmas" post was a fantastic way to start getting me in the spirit.
  • lana of lanalou style always has the loveliest images.  this tea and jam photo collection is no exception!
  • the quote jess of makeunder my life posted over the weekend really made me think.
here's to another grateful week.

  1. Kudos!! Half the battle is done! I never know what to get everyone, so making the list is always the toughest part for me :)
