the images below of the now-abandoned six flags new orleans are extremely interesting and extremely haunting. being halloween season and all, and because i have theme parks on the brain right now (more on that later this week!) i thought it was a good time to share them with you all.
six flags new orleans has been closed and abandoned since katrina hit in august 2005. flickr user Brynne went to the park in november 2009 and took the pictures you see below.
here's what the park looked like flooded following katrina...
like i said: haunting. but there's a sad beauty here too. this park has a story. a ghost story.
