a fairy tale of white.

it would seem my invitation to this year's white fairy tale love ball - which closed out paris haute couture fashion week on july 6 - got lost in the mail.  and that's really too bad, because o.m.g. would i have loved to be there.  from the "white & silver only" dress code to the hosts, model natalia vodianova and one mr. valentino garavani, and the location, valentino's own xvii century chateau de wideville located outside paris, the event seemed to be a fairy tale come to life.  and it was all for the naked heart foundation, natalia's organization to benefit underprivileged children in russia.  45 unique dresses were created exclusively for the auction, and they are as magical as you would expect.  here's a few of my favorites:

and from the actual event...

{natalia was the only one in color, appearing as red riding hood at the end of the show in the first dress designed by valentino since his 2008 retirement}

{olivia palermo & anne hathaway.  anne seems to be channeling her alice in wonderland white queen character, no?}
