green thumb.

i have a secret dream of someday having a greenhouse.  the idea of being surrounded by flowers in the middle of winter is irresistible.  if i had my pick, i'd like one in a clearing in the middle of the woods, attached to a little cottage perhaps (with 7 dwarf roommates?!  lol), but that's the fairy-tale obsessed romantic in me.

  1. My mother-in-law has a billion plants, all of which seem to flourish under her care, so my husband and I are hoping to build her a small-ish greenhouse for her 60th birthday! I'm pretty sure if I had one, though, all my plants would just die an accelerated death.

  2. Oh, I am in love with these greenhouses! That is a dream of mine too. It would be amazing to have a little sancturary to go to in the middle of winter. Then have fresh cut flowers everyday!!! ~Val

  6. I just did my version of city gardening the other day... two hanging pots and four containers on the balcony. Chicago gardening is not quite as romantic as these amazing pictures, but hopefully I'll get some nice fresh herbs and a tomato or two out of the endevor!

  8. I really enjoyed my visit to your blog. The greenhouses are fabulous and your playlist caused me to pause and just listen and enjoy. I'm visiting from Friday Pretties and I'm your newest follower. I hope you can stop by Cottage and Creek and say 'hi'.
