Where in the World?!

Unlike Ms. Sandiego, I haven't dashed off to parts unknown.  I'm still right here.  It's just summer.  And I've found myself with a second full-time job (planning our wedding).  That's not an excuse, more of an explanation :/  I'm going to try a little harder going forward to share at least one thing of interest per week.  And I am sorry for the silence.  Hope you're still here.

And here's what I've been up to over the last month:

Glimpses.

{We bought tickets through How About We to the Museum of Contemporary Art's Tuesdays on the Terrace and it was so lovely.
Outdoor jazz music, dinner & dessert by Wolfgang Puck and a bottle of wine.  It was an amazing summer evening}

 {Childhood bed got a major upgrade.  That "F" pillow was a handmade gift received at my shower.
Until I have the right place for it where it won't be damaged, it's fitting in beautifully here}
{Is this invite not completely amazing?!}

Life Last Week | June 2, 2014.

Happy June!  It's going to be a busy but very fun one.  To lead into it, we had another beautiful weather weekend here in Chicago.  Got in some wedding planning, lots of errands, a 5K run for the zoo, MALEFICENT in IMAX (which was pretty darn great, give or take the 3 good fairies.  WTF was happening with them?!  But Angie just killed it), and finished the week with The Red Viper v. The Mountain.  Oof.

Glimpses.

{To always have peonies in your home is to know happiness}
{Girl has problems, but Gwyneth's Avocado Toast is delish}
{Running in 80 degree weather, washed down with an 8:30 a.m. beer :)}

{On my cool-down out of the zoo, I got to see the polar bear for the 2nd time ever.  He's a recluse!}
 {A WICKED good time before Maleficent}
{My favorite recipe from Inn at the Crossroads' Game of Thrones cookbook}

New & Noteworthy.

Tom & Lorenzo did us all a favor and documented their trip to the Downtown Abbey Costume Exhibit at the Winterthur Museum in Wilmington, Delaware.  Here's Part 1, Part 2, Part 3.  I can't believe how many gorgeous details just don't show that well on camera.

For the paper obsessed (me), Oh So Beautiful Paper took us inside the annual National Stationery Show, sharing with us outsiders all kinds of awesome paper designers.

Speaking of paper, my wedding invitation designer shared the beautiful wedding shower she threw for her brother and future sister-in-law on Peace Love Design.  Love the hot air balloon theme.
