Wedding | Painted Wood Table Numbers.

If you can believe it, there are still DIYs from my sister's wedding in August 2012 that I have not yet posted.  I don't know what's taking me so long either.

These wood slabs were cut and sanded by my dad and the groom from dying trees on our cottage's property, the site of the wedding :)  I've come across similarly-treated wood slabs on Etsy, if you're in the market (for a lot less legwork!).

I treated the slabs with this several hours before stenciling the numbers as a sealant/protector.

I purchased the stencils from an Etsy shop that unfortunately no longer exists.  However, a little googling and Etsy-browsing and you'll find a set you like!

I used Martha Stewart's Satin Craft Paint in "Wedding Cake" here.

So as not to bleed outside the lines, I slowly and lightly dabbed the paint on with a sponge.  2 light coats total.

And there you have it!
